The peacock is a biblical symbol of rebirth.

Some might call it a coincidence. Or perhaps pure serendipity! Nevertheless, the first painting that Sonia created as a new core member was a peacock. Sonia’s family had been longing for a new beginning, a fresh start for Sonia since the recent loss of her father and the closing of her residential facility. COVID complicated the search.

Happily, after months of Zoom calls and online “visits,” patience and prayer prevailed! In June 2021, Sonia was welcomed into the L’Arche family as a core member in Greatfull House!
