L'Arche in the spotlight

March 21, 2010

The Eagles Have Landed!

Getting to know the members of Boy Scout Troop 212 has been a transforming experience for L’Arche Harbor House. Three members of the troop designed and supervised three separate projects – each project a critical step in the process of becoming an Eagle Scout.

Thanks to their effort and hard work, the L’Arche campus was revitalized in three important areas: the parking area in front of the Greatfull House, the gazebo building and swings, and the peaceful grotto located behind all three houses.

The scouts painted, raked, mulched, planted and constructed ramps for wheelchair access to the gazebo. The spirit of teamwork was inspiring as scouts and parents worked side by side to accomplish their goals. Congratulations to Jacob Dirghalli, Grant VanWinkle, and Garret Maloney and thank you for all the improvements at L’Arche Harbor House.
